Giving things up for God

Matthew 5:10-11
'They are blessed who are persecuted for doing good, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. People will insult you and hurt you. They will lie and say all kinds of evil things about you because you follow me. But when they do, you will be blessed.'

No matter how much it hurts you just have to put God first in your life to live the way He wants you too. God will be pleased with you and the lengths you have gone to in order to love and obey Him. You don't owe anyone on this earth anything at all but you owe God everything, you owe Him your life. It is not your job to try and make anyone else happy although it is good to. You should spend all of your time focused on God and have very action and thought reflect your love for Him. Rather than trying to please others you should only try to please God because He is the one who deserves it the most. He gave His life for you.

God died for you. People of the opposite gender will drive you to lust, money will drive you to greed and society will drive you to selfishness. But God will make you happy. Your troubles are God's problem. So hand them over to him, and remember that there is always someone to pray for you. Hand all your problems over to God.

For then you can have the peace that God died to give you.

What is eternal life?

 John 17:3
"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, who you have sent."

To know Jesus we must not only have an intellectual knowledge of Him but also know Him personally. So what does it mean to know him? Well firstly we have to confess Jesus as Lord; and, secondly, to recognize that the Lord God, His Father, raised Him physically from the dead.

What is the Significance of Jesus’ Physical resurrection? It is God proving to us ABSOLUTELY!
  1. That He does exist.
  2. That the Bible is His only written Word to Man.
  3. That Jesus really is His only Son He sent into the World.
  4. That Death, eternal separation from God, is Sin’s penalty.
  5. That God accepts Jesus’ death in our place for our sins.
  6. And that He will give Eternal Life to anyone who receives His Son as Savior and Lord of their lives.
To have eternal life we have to know Jesus completely,  we have to spend time praying to Him, me must read His word and continue to grow in faith. For if we do not do these things and are unbelievers then we will suffer a terrible fate of death. Jesus and the Apostle Paul tell us plainly that the Bible’s definition of death is not nonexistence, but separation from God and being condemned to a living fiery hell forever where the worm, man’s soul, does not die and where the fire will never go out, will never ever be quenched forever!

- To know Jesus is to love Jesus. And no man has ever seen, heard or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love Jesus.

Meeting Jesus regularly in prayer can add immeasurably to our knowledge of Him, building a relationship begun with factual knowledge. I pray that you will join in this never-ending effort.
And May God bless you with an ever-increasing knowledge of our Lord and Savior, our Shepherd, our Big Brother -- and our best friend.

Peace.

The image of Jesus on the cross

So many people seem to have this concept that when Jesus Christ was hanging on the cross dying he was dressed in a spotless white rope with a perfectly groomed appearance. In reality this is not the case at all.

Matthew 27:28-30
"They took off his clothes and put a red robe on Him. Using thorny branches, they made a crown, put it on his head, and put a stick in His right hand. Then the soldiers bowed before Jesus and made fun of Him, saying 'Hail, King of Jews!' They spat on  Jesus. Then took His stick and began to beat Him on the head."

After this, being whipped and also having to carry the cross on His back all the way to the hill where He would have fallen on His face repeatedly He would have been pouring with sweat and blood.

Jesus went through this for us

Peace.

God's Great Love

1 John 4:21
"This is how God showed His love to us: He sent His one and Only Son into the world so that we could have life through Him. This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God's love for us. He sent His Son to die in our place to take away our sins."

God loves us so much that He sent His Son to make the biggest sacrifice that was ever made in all eternity. He sent Jesus down to earth where He became flesh and blood so that He could experience life like the people of the world. Jesus, the immortal God and the Giver of Life, gave up His own life upon the cross in the greatest act of love the world has ever known! In doing so He took our sins away, effectively nailing them to the cross with Himself.

If we have God's love then we need nothing else. To allow God's love to love you free - to heal you - you need to surrender all to God. All.

God is:
The creator of all creators
The source of all sources
The source of all love
The father of all fathers
There is and always was but ONE God
and that one God is Love

A man once fell on his knees before Christ and begged, "If You are willing, You can make me clean." Christ, "filled with compassion" replied, "I am willing; be clean" (Mark 1:40-41). We too can fall on our knees and acknowledge God's only provision for our sins. We too can hear, "I am willing; be clean." Christ willingly took God's righteous indignation upon Himself so that you don't have to; whoever accepts His death upon the cross as payment for their sins will be reconciled to the God whom they've offended.

Accept God's love and you will need nothing more.

Peace.
